We're headed to New York for Spring Break. Both of us have been to The Big Apple before, so we are looking forward to enjoying the City, without feeling like we have to see or do a lot. We are also excited to meet up with our friend Jess, whom we met in Italy on the island of Capri. We have enjoyed keeping in touch with her and it will be fun to see her again!
If the weather cooperates, we are hoping to take a 3 hour cruise around Manhatten Island, which will have us up close to the Statue of Liberty. Eric also wants to take a day trip to Jones Beach on Long Island. He has happy memories of this beach from his childhood. Many of you know that Eric was born in New York and often jokes that HE is the Amityville Horror.
Other than that, we are mostly looking forward to eating at some incredible restaurants. I am most excited about our reservations at Perilla, which might sound familiar to you if you are a fan of Top Chef. This is Season One winner Harold's restaurant. I was a big fan of his, and am anxious to see the type of restaurant he has created. I am also looking forward to some frozen hot chocolate from Serendipity!
