Eric's Thoughts (Part Quatre)

This was an amazing view from the top of Notre Dame. I think the
gargoyle might have given that away, but you never know. We had to
climb over 400 steps to get to the top of the church. The view was breathtaking. You can get a panoramic view of the city. In fact, if you look closely you can see the Tour Eiffel in the background.

The climb to the top was definitely worth the trip, but we have finished the day completely exhausted (which seems to be the norm for us; I think we are averaging six miles a day.) The climb to our fifth floor room (Jenny wanted me to correct this because technically we are on the sixth floor; the Europeans refer to the first floor as floor 0 or B) at the end of the day seems like a climb to the summit of Mount Everest.

How about a climb at Mt. Fuji?

That would be more fitting ;-)

You could sell this stuff to the Travel Channel...you'd make a mint.

How is the food setting with Jen? must be ok if you're at the fruit stand and sandwich-a-ria often :-)

Can't wait until your Switzerland part. Wondering if you'll gourge out on one of those 5lb er ###kilo chocolate bars :-)

GREAT photo and FABULOUS view of the city... one needs to be in really good shape to get around and be able to climb all those stairs! The views are certainly worth the effort.

First time I had an opportunity to look at Blog. When do you have time to write all this? George & I would be sitting at a Cafe exhausted watching the world go by. Sounds like an exciting trip so far. Eric now you climbed the Eiffel Tower twice and visited Notre Dame twice. Keep us posted. Love, Mom/Fran & George
